Despite having a gorgeous old town, mountainous setting and surrounds dotted with castles, Brasov has managed to escape the tourist masses. Mercifully the closest airport is about 3 hours away in Bucharest so the visit requires a little bit of commitment. Hopefully this means that the town retains its untouched charm just a little bit longer.
