Cape Argus Cycle Tour - Cape Town
9 April 2010
If you happen to be in South Africa in early March and are a keen cyclist, the Cape Argus cycle tour is an event that you should put in your calendar. The tour takes a route around the Cape Point and around Table mountain - one of the most stunning coastal routes on earth, and a great place to cycle.
At 109km, and with 31 000 cyclists taking part, it is the world's largest individually timed cycle race. The above photo gives a small sample of the scale of the event. This was just one of the "starts" during the day. Given the number of people, there are starts like this staged for several hours - by the time the last group starts, the first groups have already well and truly finished the event!
Unlike my cousin, who spent the day cycling, I spent my day taking photos, but coming back taking part is now well and truly on my "to do" list!

Do you need model release for these photos
I just wanted to know do you have to get model release from all the bicycle riders in the photos, do you go and ask all of them for it ,or are these photos without model release.
All Editorial
These images are editorial only... Can't imagine getting that many model releases!
