Happy Australia Day! Sailing the Whitsunday Islands

Today is Australia day, so its a good time to post a photo from closer home. This is the view you get first thing in the morning if you spend a few days sailing at the Whitsunday Islands.

It would be nice if every day were like this, but the last few weeks in Queensland have been more of a reminder that Summer is usually the "wet season" in the tropics, so there's been more rain than sunshine.

If you're planning a trip to Queensland, Autumn, Winter and Spring are all good times to go, especially if you want to go north! The links below are to images from two of my favourite places - the Whitsunday Isands and Fraser Island.
