Last night Bangkok celebrated until well into the night to mark the King's 84th birthday. It was a spectacle to behold, and at times felt like all of its 14 million residents were around the area surrounding the Grand Palace at once.
The highlight of the evening for me was the rare chance to go into the Grand Palace at nighttime.
