Melbourne City Skyline at Dawn

Melbourne City Skyline at Dawn

Federation Square in Melbourne is one of Australia's most notable architectural landmarks. It was awarded the 'World's Fifth Ugliest Building' by the VirtualTourist website in 2009 and has been compared to a "bombed out army bunker". Despite the criticism, it's one of Melbourne's most visited landmarks.

In this photo, the buildings of Federation Square can be seen lit up behind the Eucalyptus trees that line the banks of the Yarra River, with the Melbourne city skyline in the background. To me the architecture fits in with the surrounds, at least from this angle!
