Melvin the Manila Jeepney

Melvin the Manila Jeepney

What's a Jeepney? Its the same thing as a jeep, just longer and intended to operate as a local bus.

According to Wikipedia: Jeepneys are the most popular means of public transportation in the Philippines. They were originally made from US military jeeps left over from World War II and are known for their flamboyant decoration and crowded seating. They have become a symbol of Philippine culture.

In most cases "flamboyant" means lots of lights, lots of color, an abundance of horns and tributes to Catholic Icons plastered all over them.
