New focus for 2012: Travel and Timelapse!
The last few weeks I've been busy working plans for the coming year. If you know me well enough, you'll probably realise that this isn't a familiar situation. Normally I don't really have specific plans for the next day, let alone for the following year.
Up until now, taking that approach to travel has worked out OK - except that there's been several times lately when I've gone back and forth far too much. I've also been struggling with two competing urges - firstly the desire to be in one place for an extended period and not have to constantly pack and un-pack or find a decent place to stay. The other is to keep traveling the world. Its the second which still seems to win out most of the time, even after almost 5 years of travel.
So what's going to change for 2012?
- More travel!
- 12 months of travel, with 12 main locations, aiming to shoot 12 (good!) timelapses.
- A new travel blog that I'll be aiming to update regularly.
- A blog about Timelapse Photography which will be limited to the topic of timelapse.
- A new collaborative project which is still in the pipeline
What about this site?
I'm going to be keeping this site online, but shift the focus back to travel photography, with the emphasis being on photography. Expect to see it updated with new tutorials in the coming weeks and months.
In the meantime, if you want to follow what I'm up to, have a look at my first post on RTW Diaries, which will give some idea of where I'm traveling in 2012!
If you really want to help out, I'd appreciate your feedback on the new blogs, particularly if there's things that you see that need fixing!

Excellent, Holgs. I'm
