Yes, the water really is so blue and the sand really is that white!
As an added bonus, snorkeling here is probably about as close as you'll get to swimming in a giant, well stocked tropical fish-tank. The water is however so warm that you're likely to get granny-hands if you stay in for any length of time.
Perhentian Besar off the eastern coast of Malaysia easily makes it to my list of the worlds most beautiful islands!
