Australia and the Pacific!
Its pretty common to meet travelers who have never spent any time in their own country. I'm happy to say that I'm not one of them. In addition to spending time traveling overseas, I try to see as much of my own country and region as possible. Thousands of travelers have to come a long way to experience a taste of what Australia has to offer, and for good reason. Australia is a land of amazing contrasts. It has stunning landscapes and unique wildlife. For the unsuspecting it can be a harsh and dangerous terrain.
Australia isn't a budget travel destination. Visitors may be surprised by how expensive some things are, even by European standards. Notable examples are: Alcohol, snack foods, electronics and clothing. If you approach things the right way, its a country where you can have a lot of fun on a reasonable budget.
