If you're in Australia, (or London) you're probably well aware that its Australia day. Here in South Africa you'd probably never notice. Nevertheless I thought it was a nice occasion to post an older photo of Sydney Harbor Bridge, taken at night.

Hi. I'm Laurie (guy). Living in Melbourne, Australia. I had intended to be in the vicinity of Longreach/Boulia Q'ld at this time but haven't made it yet.
So I went to look at VT's Longreach pages and there you were. !! Followed your trail to here.
Great to 'meet' you.
Your work is absolutely magnificent.
I go back to the 'stone age' of amatuer photography - home bathroom development and printing of 620 and 127 b/w films !! Later, Super 8 movies - sound striped !!
My brother was a Industrial Chemist at Kodak, Abbotsford, Melbourne at the dawn of public colour photography;
circa 1943. Even before Kodacrome - not Simon and Garfunkel !!
I was RAAF Radar and later in at the start of b/w TV servicing '56 and much later, experienced the inside view of the opening of colour TV here in Aussie.
So I can appreciate, to a certain extent, the absolute quality of your output.
Beyond understanding almost.
And your writing is up there too.
'Well done' sounds patronising - but what else ?? Hearty congratulations.
Best wishes from cold and wet Melbourne. Laurie.
