First light at Machu Picchu Peru

11 November 2009

I'm currently typing this entry from a moving bus on the way to Florianopolis in Brazil, so this is going to be a short post!

Peru is a great destination for travel. Machu Picchu in Peru is one of the worlds iconic landmarks, and high on many travelers "must see" lists - for good reason. While its easy for such places to get over-hyped, after spending 4 days on the Salkantay trek to get here, it didn't disappoint. The sight of the mist rising up over Machu Picchu followed by the first light hitting the ruins was a magical experience.

Congratulations! I went to

Congratulations! I went to Machu Picchu early this year and didn't get pictures like this! It was foggy until about 11am so the light was not so nice, and there were loads of turists! :( Very, very, very nice photo! See you soon! :)
