View from the Loo - Mooloolaba, Sunshine Coast, Australia
The "Loo with a view" is one of the most well-known local landmarks on the Sunshine Coast. Its a good place to organise to meet friends when you're near the beach, because everyone knows where it is, there's lots of parking nearby and benches with good views in case you have to wait. It started life as a far more modest building, but became the centrepiece of the local government's efforts to refurbish the waterfront at Mooloolaba on Queensland's sunshine coast.
For a long time I was under the impression that "Loo with a View" was just the colloquial name for a building which is basically a toilet and shower block with a deck and observation point above and around it. When I last went down, I noticed that its name is now official with a big metal plaque that sits by the steps.
