London by Night 2010

Where did you go in 2010?

Taylor Davidson, a fellow traveler and photographer recently posted his List of Cities visited last year.

In a way its a much better indication of how much you've traveled than the more common question: "What countries did you go to?"

Today's photo is from the second time I went to London last year. On that occasion I thought it would be a quick stop on the way to speaking at a conference in Nashville Tenesee. As it turned out when I went to go to the airport, it was closed and I ended up staying in the city for a few more unscheduled days.

I won't list 2008 except to say that it included more cities in more countries and touched on 5 continents.

When I look back, I did more things in 2008 and 2009: Surfing, Sand boarding, language classes, trekking, horse riding, scuba diving, swimming, kayaking, etc etc.

In contrast, 2010 was a year where I spent far more time meeting people, planning and setting a direction for the future. In general though not as much "fun". The highlight was the people I met and building on friendships with some amazing people.

The other question in Taylor's post is "What cities should be on my 2011 list?" For him I'd put: Bangkok, Buenos Aires and Medellin.

For me this years question is more "What am I going to do?" Its going to include: Scuba Diving, Kayaking, Trekking, Surfing, Sailing and a whole lot more photography! I'm also hoping that these activities are going to be with quite a few familiar faces - friends from home and afar.

Veo el mundo... means "I see the world" in Spanish
